As the polls close for the 2020 election, Globe photographers are following several demonstrations throughout Salt Lake City.
Activists from the left and the right converged outside the Salt Lake County Government Center on 2100 S. and State Street, while several businesses in City Creek Center took precautions against looting and rioting by sealing storefronts as well as hiring extra security.
