Globe photographer Gina Portugal attended the 2019 Vans Park Series World Championships at the Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City.

Some of the biggest names in skateboarding competed on the new Vans-Utah Sports Commission Skatepark. Salt Lake City became the first American city to host the tour.

Oskar Rozenberg won the men’s championship, and Sakura Yosozumi won the women’s championship. Vans donated the skatepark back to the community at the end of the tournament.
