Tablado Dance Company performed magnificently choreographed flamenco during the Noche Flamenca concert Saturday, Sept. 17 in the Grand Theatre.
Dancers and musicians mesmerized the audience with staccato rhythm, hypnotizing footwork and vivacious dresses. The night also featured guest musician George Brown on mandolin and Ogden-based Irish & Scottish music group Dunmore Lasses on violin.
The event was sponsored by the Una Mano Amiga peer mentoring program at Salt Lake Community College.
“We hope to bring vigor through this live flamenco performance and also connect students within our Hispanic community,” said Multicultural Student Success coordinator Luz Gamarra. “Without the support of SLCC Center for Arts and Media, this night would not have been such a success.”
