Joining a club is a rush

With all the changes a new semester brings, Salt Lake Community College students can join a club to network with others who share the same interests.

There are dozens of clubs that SLCC students may not know about, so Student Life and Leadership will hold their bi-annual Club Rush to help raise awareness.

Club Rush – Spring 2016

Tuesday, Jan. 19 at South City Campus
Wednesday, Jan. 20 at Jordan Campus
Thursday, Jan. 21 at Redwood Campus

Will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day

Choose most convenient to attend

“Club Rush is a really good way to find clubs that most people don’t even know exist, and it’s a good way to get involved with the school,” says Student Senator Miranda Paige. “This year, we’re hoping to get more people involved in the clubs and make the students of the school feel like they fit in and do something that interests them.”

Club Rush invites every SLCC club to present their goals and activities to potential members in one location. Students who attend Club Rush have the opportunity to talk with club presidents and get more information about each club.

The clubs at SLCC are as diverse as the student population.

Clubs cover a wide range of interests, including chemistry, astronomy, robotics, cooking, music, fashion, intramurals and more.

For anyone who wants to start a new club, fill out the form and get it approved in time to set up your own table at Club Rush.
