The Globe published a profile of Salt Lake Community College student Leo Weffer and his journey to become a fashion designer. Weffer, who graduates this spring, will host his own fashion show next semester.
Weffer appreciates the support he has received from SLCC students and faculty.
“SLCC feels like a family. It has been so welcoming,” he says.
Cherylene Rosenvall, an adjunct professor in the SLCC Fashion Institute, describes Weffer as a gung-ho student with a lot of passion.
“He has a lot of big ideas,” she says with a smile. “He is really good at jumping in. I’ve watched him slowly find his path; he now has his groove.”
