SLCC Fashion Institute presents 7th annual Senior Collections runway show

Four models show off SLCC student fashion designs

The Fashion Institute at Salt Lake Community College announces its 7th annual spring fashion show entitled #FemmeFierce.

SLCC’s Fashion Institute has nurtured talented and bright young designers, and this year’s seniors are ready to display their beautiful creations on the runway.

Doors open at 6 p.m., show begins at 7 p.m.

This year’s show celebrates the power of femininity in all its different forms. Designs from Autumn Knudson, Alisa Woicicki, Janalee Walton, Rosalba Frica, Judy McCarthy, Annie Phan, Emily Hale, Jessica Rubio, Meagan Patterson, Carrie Pennington, Madison Emily, Megan Fullmer, and Hillary Baker led by Eugene Tachinni will grace the runway at The Rail Event Center.

Performances from Sonia Lopez, Warner/Chappell Production Music vocalist, and SLCC’s Dance Company will take place as well.

Hair and makeup will be provided by the Aveda Institute in Provo, led by Educational Director Heggy Gonzalez.

Salt Lake Community College is an accredited, diverse, and expanding two-year college. Established in 1948, it has grown to be Utah’s largest college. SLCC focuses on providing associate’s degrees that can be transferred to four-year colleges. It also offers certificates and career and technical training.

The community college has 10 campuses as well as online classes, supplying more than 60,000 students with the tools needed to succeed in the workforce and universities.

SLCC’s Fashion Institute, coordinated by Mojdeh Sakaki, has become the breeding ground for talented fashion designers and merchandisers.

#FemmeFierce will be hosted by The Rail Event Center located at 235 N 500 W in Salt Lake City. Presale tickets are available on www.24tix.com or at any Graywhale location. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.
