Student elections coming up; forums being held

Candidates for student body president and executive vice president of Salt Lake Community College hosted a forum at South City Campus on Tuesday, with upcoming forums being held at the Taylorsville Redwood and Jordan campuses.

The forums allow candidates to discuss their platforms with students and encourage students to vote. Free food is also handed out to students in attendance.

The forum at Jordan Campus will take place Wednesday, Feb. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the HTC Lobby. The forum at Taylorsville Redwood Campus will take place Thursday, Feb. 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Center Copper Room.

Voting begins on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 8 a.m. and ends Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. Students can vote online or in person at the Taylorsville Redwood, South City and Jordan campuses. An S number is required to vote.
