Salt Lake Community College students who want to explore new interests will soon be able to check out dozens of student clubs on campus.

Every SLCC club is expected to participate in Club Rush next week at the Taylorsville Redwood, Jordan and South City campuses.

“In Club Rush you can find out about clubs that you may not be aware of. The clubs are all represented at Club Rush,” says music professor Thomas Baggaley.

The purpose of Club Rush is to help students understand which clubs are available on campus and what they are about. There are student clubs for a variety of topics, like sports, music, social issues and more.

With over 60 different clubs at SLCC, students can find one to fit almost anything they can think of. And, if a particular club doesn’t exist, students can create a club and start attracting like-minded members.

“Clubs give the student the opportunity to round out their education with experiences that go beyond the classroom and better prepare them for their careers and life in general,” says Baggaley.

Club Rush for fall semester takes place Sept. 8 at Taylorsville Redwood Campus, Sept. 9 at South City Campus and Sept. 10 at Jordan Campus. Make sure to visit Club Rush at a campus near you.

For more information and a list of student clubs, visit Student Life and Leadership or log on to OrgSync with your SLCC account and click on Browse Organizations.
