Spring semester is almost over at Salt Lake Community College, which means it’s time to celebrate the end of another school year.
Student Life and Leadership is throwing its annual Bruin Bash this Friday at Taylorsville Redwood Campus. A variety of events will take place in and around the Student Center beginning at 5 p.m.
The party is free to all students, faculty, staff and community members.
To highlight the rich diversity of SLCC, the theme for this year’s Bruin Bash will be “Bashing Around the World.”
A number of clubs and organizations will participate in a multicultural talent show, where a variety of dances will be performed to represent the different nationalities and cultures at SLCC.
There will be other activities for everyone to enjoy.
Attendees will have the opportunity to get airbrush and henna tattoos, play laser tag and enjoy a live performance by Blue Aces Band.
Mentalist and comedian Sean Bott, who performed at SLCC on April 14, will show off some of his mind-blowing tricks at Bruin Bash. Stunt comedian Wacky Chad will also perform some of his crazy stunts.
Movie buffs can enjoy a free screening of “Zoolander 2” and a dance floor will be set up for those who feel like dancing the night away.
Cupbop and Waffle Love will set up food trucks at the event. Hungry guests will need to have some cash on hand because the food trucks are the only things that will not be free.
The School of Business will be hosting a jam session during the Bruin Bash. Free tutoring will be available in the Business Building for students who want to review for the business finals.
More information about Bruin Bash can be found on the Student Life and Leadership Facebook page.
