The OneCard is more than just a student ID — it’s your key to campus life at Salt Lake Community College.

A OneCard provides SLCC students with instant access to their financial aid and can be used anywhere Discover cards are accepted. It also serves as a pre-paid debit card and gives SLCC students access to UTA discounts, campus retail discounts, meal plans and computer labs for printing.

Financial Aid

The OneCard saves students from having to wait to receive for their financial aid through the mail. The refund is placed on the OneCard and the funds are available immediately for use.

21-year-old freshman Leticia Vigil recently learned about the OneCard and this benefit.

“I just picked one up last month when the semester started and I love the pre-paid debit card option,” Vigil says. “Also I thought it was neat how I was able to load my card with my financial aid and get the refund faster. It’s easy and convenient!”

The convenient reloadable card makes it easy to access funds through Allpoint ATMs and there are also checks that come with the OneCard that can be cashed for free at any Wal-Mart location.

Campus Transit

The OneCard also gives allows students to ride the B-line intercampus shuttle for free, something 19-year-old sophomore Duayne Wall can appreciate.

“I use the OneCard almost everyday,” Wall says. “I have my classes split up between the Taylorsville and South City campuses so it’s nice not having to worry about driving back and forth.”

The OneCard is free for SLCC students; replacement cards are $20. You will need proper photo identification like a state issued-drivers license or a passport to obtain a OneCard.

Anyone who would like more information about the OneCard or how to get a OneCard can visit the OneCard web page for details.
