Gone are the days of the library with only books, magazines, microfiche and shushing librarians.
The SLCC Libraries are an active learning environment complete with computer labs; group study rooms that are equipped with white boards, monitors and electronic device connections; exhibits and even a café in the Taylorsville-Redwood Markosian Library.
We also have anatomy models, DVDs, books, magazines and a friendly staff to assist you. Anatomy models are available for use in the Markosian, South and Jordan libraries.
The Markosian Library is open till midnight, Monday thru Thursday during Spring and Fall Semesters.
Library services are accessible from any computer or mobile device with digital online resources such as e-books, e-journals, online articles and streaming media all provided to assist you in reaching your educational goals.
Our “OneSearch,” found on the library main page at libweb.slcc.edu gives you quick and easy access to quality information from many physical and digital sources. If you are still unable to find what you are looking for, check out our Inter-Library Loan (ILL) service on the library web site where students, faculty and staff can request books or other resources from other libraries in the state and beyond.
You can even use your SLCC library card (OneCard) at any academic library in the State of Utah.
Need help with your courses and you’re not sure where to begin? Speak with one of our Reference Librarians in person at one of our four locations or by phone at 801.957.4610. You can even text a librarian by texting the word Elie and your question to 66746. We’re here to help you!
You can see our online Subject Guides, created to provide assistance with over 80 different subject areas at libguides.slcc.edu.
With Libraries at the Jordan, Miller, South City, and Taylorsville-Redwood campuses we offer a variety of services to help you succeed with your goals.
