Children are selected to compete for adult’s amusement at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus

On Saturday, April 7, scores of children braved the sunny but cold weather to line up near the quad fountain at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus.

“I’m excited to do this. I like Easter egg hunts,” said 8 year old Skylar Bock.

At the word ‘go’ the kids all rushed to gather eggs. The whole thing was over in about ten minutes.

The Taylorsville Redwood Activities board, with help from Student Life and Leadership, hosted an Easter Egg Hunt for SLCC students’ kids along with children that live in the community.

“I get an e-mail that we signed up for and we get an e-mail when they have events,” said Jessica Morgan, community parent. “My son is seven. I also have a four year old and a nine year old here. They are all cold but excited.”

For each age group there was one golden egg. Each kid that found the golden egg won a full Easter Basket.

The Easter Bunny was also on hand for the event.
