Nearly 2200 Salt Lake Community College students cast their ballots Mar. 7 and 8 for the SLCC Student Association elections.
Aaron Starks won the presidential election, defeating three other candidates. Starks received 41 percent of the vote, collecting 903 votes in all. Inacio Lopez finished second with 34 percent. Justin Escarciga and Carlos Almada finished third and fourth, respectively.
Carlos Artiles-Fortun won the executive vice president election over Ali Rahimi and Brandon Clark. Artiles-Fortun received 42 percent of the vote, with 927 total votes. Rahimi finished in second place with 33 percent.
