Fall semester has officially started at Salt Lake Community College. There are many things to take care of and new things happening, too. New teachers, new classes and classmates, new books. While you’re at it, why not add new friends and new things to try here at college? If you have not yet gotten yourself involved in a club or two, or if you want to get involved in more, now is the time thanks to Club Rush.
Club Rush is a showcase of all the clubs that are here at SLCC. The concept that all of the clubs gather together allows the students to see which club or clubs fits them the best. Club Rush helps students understand what the clubs are about and the clubs and organizations available here at SLCC.
If you are thinking that there are only social clubs here at SLCC, you might want to think twice. There are professional, academic or department clubs, sports clubs and many others here at SLCC.
Information about the clubs will be given out during Club Rush. Club Rush gives students the opportunity to ask the club presidents, or the person in charge of a club, how the club can help its student members, the goals of the club and when and where the club meets.
If your schedule doesn’t allow you to come to Taylorsville Redwood Campus and you do not want to miss Club Rush, don’t worry this event will be showcased on more than one campus. On Wednesday August 24 and Thursday August 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Taylorsville Redwood Campus, the Club Rush will be located between the library and the Student Center. On Thursday, August 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jordan Campus, the event will take place outside on the HTC patio. Also on Thursday, August 25 at the South City Campus between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Club Rush will be showcased at the east entrance.
