Managing stress in college

Stress is a part of everyone’s college experience. Sometimes all of the stress gets a little overwhelming.

Kathy Nguyen, a business major at Salt Lake Community College, said that she loves how flexible the schedule is, but the thing that stresses her out the most is “the cost of books and access codes, which you need to do homework.”

When asked what she does to manage her stress, Nguyen says, “I usually exercise, specifically yoga.” Yoga is a great way to help center and relax your mind, it also helps you learn not to concentrate on things you can’t control.

She went on to say, “Listening to music, going out into nature, and hanging out with friends” also helps her manage her stress. Getting your mind off the stressful things in your life will help you succeed and have a semi-stress-free college experience.

How do you manage your stress as a college student? Tell us in the comments!
