No. 13 seed Salt Lake Community College started the NJCAA National Tournament with a win over No. 20 seed Northeast Mississippi 77-64 yesterday in Hutchinson, Kansas.

SLCC (27-8) pulled away from and Tigers (18-10) midway through the first half, leading 41-27 at the break. The Bruins continued their consistent play in the second half, racking up a 20-point lead at one point in the contest.
