Talithia Williams to speak at Tanner Forum

Dr. Talithia Williams will give a talk at Salt Lake Community College’s Tanner Forum on Social Ethics.

Recognized for her work as a statistician, professor, TED speaker and television host, Williams is breaking barriers and changing stereotypes in the sciences. She believes in the power of STEM education and encourages people of all ages and backgrounds to get excited about science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

In addition, Williams believes STEM industries will play a vital role in transforming our future, and seeks to motivate women and minorities to pursue STEM careers.

The 2019 Tanner Forum will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Grand Theatre. Doors open at 6 p.m. and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are free, but required for admission.
