Vials for blood draws
According to givingblood.org, 4.5 million Americans will need a blood transfusion each year.

The Red Cross has partnered with the Thayne Center for Service & Learning to host three blood drives at Salt Lake Community College campuses this fall.

To assist in filling the holiday demands, blood drives will be held at the following campuses from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Sept. 23 – Miller Campus in MCPC 101
  • Oct. 28 and Dec. 2 – Taylorsville Redwood Campus in the Student Event Center

A single donation can help up to three people in a few different ways: platelets, plasma and red blood cells.

Walk-ins are welcome. Call 866-236-3276 for questions about registering, eligibility or donations.
