In a recent online poll, Joe Nichols was chosen by Salt Lake Community College students to be the musical act for the Fall 2015 concert sponsored by Student Life and Leadership.

Nichols will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus.

Student Life and Leadership council member Eliza Filippi says that Nichols’ popularity is one of the reasons why he was chosen to perform.

Nichols has had five number-one singles on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, the latest being “Yeah” in 2014. His latest single, “Freaks Like Me” was just released Monday.

Student Life and Leadership announced earlier today via Facebook that tickets are now free of charge, while supplies last. Anyone who already purchased a ticket will be given a refund at the event.

Tickets can be picked up at the information desk at any SLCC campus.
