Delicate Arch in Arches National Park
Tourists visit the Delicate Arch in Arches National Park, outside of Moab. Moab is located near the Arches and Canyonlands national parks.

Whether your vacation plans include four-star spa and hotel accommodations or a world-renowned adventure landscape, the once small pit stop of Moab offers a delight for every palate.

Though there may be different reasons for tourists to be drawn to Moab, the city’s information center manager, Sharon Kienzle, says it was luck that brought her to the area.

A four-year resident to one of Utah’s premier travel destinations, she says, “I believe it’s the diversity that draws people to the area; with the La Sal Mountains and the red rock, its the perfect scenery.”

Biking in Moab
Recreationists find many ways to enjoy Moab’s terrain.

It seems that the town has no offseason as it offers multiple events throughout the year.

“There’s the Jeep safari, the Rally on the Rocks, and the folk and music festivals just to name a few,” says Kienzle.

Moab is nestled tightly between two national parks and hosts numerous thrill-seeking activities, such as slick rock cycling, white water rafting and extreme 4×4 trails. Adventure seekers can also take part in relaxing yet perilous hikes among red rock and sands.

The town maintains all the accommodations any pampered traveler could desire, yet remains close to the excitement of getting away from it all; it is easy to see why this place is rapidly growing in popularity.

Only a few hours away from the Salt Lake Valley, Moab is the perfect getaway to make lasting memories and earn a place among the best in interactive vacations.

Colorado River and Meander Canyon
Visitors to Moab can use Meander Canyon in Canyonlands National Park for rafting.
