Student Life & Leadership (SLL) will be hosting a Halloween event for students, families and their children.

The SLL will be having a Trunk or Treat event on Thursday, Oct. 30, to celebrate Halloween. The trunk or treat event will be new this year. Parents and college students are invited to bring their cars decorated with spooky Halloween themes. The cars will all be parked in a circle and then candy will be given out to kids as they walk around.

This event will be held at Salt Lake Community College’s South City Campus, in the east-building parking lot from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. after day care hours. They will also have a parade during the day, with the day care kids during school hours around the building. For this occasion teachers will be sending out fliers with the day care students, to inform parents.

The SLL has always had a yearly event for Halloween and usually pairs up with the SLCC South City Campus Day Care. This year, SLL is inviting students to collaborate with them.

The purpose of the event is “to keep students off their busy mind and have fun on Halloween night,” says Sheerin Farahbakhsh, Vice President for Students Life & Leadership, SLCC North Region.

Students can contact Farahbakhsh if they have any questions about the upcoming Halloween event as well as other SLL events. Students can find her information on the SLCC webpage under Student Life & Leadership or can contact her via email at Sheerin.Farahbakhsh@slcc.edu or by phone at (801) 957-3434.
