In this edition of SLCC Talks we are talking about the best of 2013, as we prepare to go into another year of learning.
“As the end of the year approaches, what was the best thing that happened to you in 2013?”
Oliver Petersen: “Oh, the best thing that happened this year? Was probably filming a during my final project in my class. It’s been really exciting and I never thought I’d work with so many cameras.”
Angela Long: “I’m in the Social Work program. The experiences that I went through in finishing everything I had to do with that were pretty amazing. And…being part of the Social Work Club and helping the homeless drives, food drives, things like that.”
Michael Hawker: “Ahh, well I took a Health and Lifetime Wellness class here at the college, in bowling, which I’ve really been enjoying actually. I joined a league as a result of it. Been bowling really well. I won; in fact tonight I receive a turkey for having bowled the best on my team last week, so—I don’t know, it’s just a lot of fun. Just a lot
of fun.”
Sandra Carpio: “So my brother announced, that he and his wife announced, that they are going to have a baby, so that’s the best thing that happened. Because there’s no babies in our family and so I’m excited to have a nephew or niece.”
