Step ahead with SLCC Learning Support and Tutoring

Need help with your math, science or writing courses? SLCC offers you many free tutoring resources.  Check these out early in the semester!

Focused Tutoring

Students needing more personalized tutoring assistance throughout the semester can apply to be matched with a tutor for individual or small group weekly appointments. Tutoring is available predominately in math and sciences. Students may pick up an application in the Learning Center (TB 213) or Focused Tutoring Office in TB 213F. If you would like to be a tutor or would like a tutor please go to the website for an application.

The Learning Centers Math and Science Tutoring and Tutor Referrals

The Learning Centers at Taylorsville-Redwood, South City, Jordan, and Sandy provide free tutoring on a drop-in basis to all SLCC students. Subjects include math, chemistry, physics, and biology.

Math Lab

The Math Lab provides math tutors that are available to help students on a drop-in basis during open hours in all math courses.

Science Resource Center

Peer tutoring is offered in Chemistry and Biology courses. The Center is also used for study groups and meeting with instructors. The American Chemical Society student club also uses it for their meetings.

The Student Writing Center

The Student Writing Center helps students improve as writers and succeed as students.  The Student Writing Center offers writing advising to students both on campus and online for all classes.
