Salt Lake Community College students can enjoy quality live theatre at affordable prices.

For more than two decades, the Grand Theatre at South City Campus has produced a plethora of fan favorites, including “A Streetcar Named Desire,” “West Side Story” and “The Sound of Music.” There is always something happening at The Grand, and, as luck would have it, they are gearing up to open a classic play sure to be a hit: “A View from the Bridge” by Arthur Miller.

“If you love theatre and don’t want to pay several hundreds of dollars, the Grand is the place to go; it’s affordable and high quality,” says Steven, who has attended multiple plays at the Grand.

“A View from the Bridge” is set in a working-class, Italian-American immigrant community during the 1950s, near the Brooklyn Bridge. The drama consists of love, passion, betrayal, and even tragedy, and keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. “A View from the Bridge” is an award-winning must-see, so don’t miss the chance to attend a high-quality show on campus for an affordable price.

“A View from the Bridge” runs from March 22 to April 7. Tickets are on sale now from $9 to $23. Students receive a 50 percent discount to a Grand Theatre production when they present their school ID at the Grand Theatre box office.

For more information, contact the Grand Theatre at 801-957-3322.
