There is this really cute guy in my class that always sits next to me in class, and we always end up chatting for a few minutes after class. He STILL hasn’t asked for my number, and with the end of the semester coming up, I’m afraid he never will. What should I do?

Dear Savannah,
There are a few factors that could be preventing this guy from asking for your number. He could be shy, he may not be single, or he could be under the impression that you aren’t single.
Another thing to take into consideration is that pretty women are intimidating. A lot of guys have a very hard time asking a woman for her number, and when she is outgoing, and good looking, it compounds it even further.
However, in today’s day and age, it is perfectly fine for a girl to ask a guy for his number. I would give this guy a little more time, perhaps he’s waiting for the last day of class to ask for your number, effectively letting your anticipation build.
If he doesn’t, just come right out and ask him for his number. One of two things will happen- either he will give you his number, and you two continue to communicate after your class is over, or he doesn’t give it to you, and you never talk to him again.
I would say there is a VERY good chance that he will give you his number. That’s better odds than the alternative of not asking for it. If you don’t ask for his number, then you have a 100% chance of not talking to him after your class ends. Unless you two end up in a class together again. In that case, it’s just fate.

That was absolutely true. Some guys are kind of shy and/or worried you don’t like them so they hesitate on getting a move ahead.
