Haunted houses are a Halloween tradition for many here in Utah and now that it’s October we are all looking for a good scare. Here are a few haunted houses that will definitely give you a good fright.

Nightmare on 13th

Nightmare on 13th is known for changing things up each year and this year is no different. This year’s theme is: The Dark Side of Halloween.

Upon arrival, you get a look at the new and improved haunted courtyard and it only gets spookier from there! Once inside, you are met with the story of the Sleepy Hollow. To end your night of fright, you will be adventuring through the sewers with none other than “IT”.

Nightmare on 13th is located at 1300 S 320 W in Salt Lake City. Individual tickets start at $25 each, and for a group of 20+ tickets are $15 per person.

Strangling Brothers Haunted Circus

The Strangling Brothers Haunted Circus was voted the 7th Scariest Haunted House in the World in 2013. Many visitors have said that it is like a real-life horror movie.

During this horrifying experience, you come face to face with the most freaky and unruly characters. This year, the Haunted Circus is welcoming one of the creepiest clowns we know, Pennywise. The circus is 50,000 square feet of fright!

Strangling Brothers Haunted Circus is located at 632 E 1500 S in American Fork. Individual tickets are $25 per person, and for a VIP fast pass tickets are $35 per person.

Haunted Hollow

If you are more of an outside person, the Haunted Hallow may be for you.

The Haunted Hollow sits on 13 acres of forest and is filled with trails that leads to hundreds of swamps, mine shafts, dungeons, caves and much more. Everywhere is filled with demons and ghouls waiting to scare the life out of you.

The Haunted Hollow asks guest not to run because the monsters, demons, and ghouls chase you down many dark trails and they want you to remain as safe as possible.

Even on rainy days you can still go get your spooky fix at the Haunted Hollow.

Haunted Hollow is located at 1550 S 1900 W in West Haven. All tickets are $21.

Castle of Chaos

The Castle of Chaos is Utah’s only underground haunted house. This year the Romanians have taken over the castle. It’s time to party like it’s 1929 on the vampire dance floor and get ready to be dealt up a scare at the casino and lounge.

The Castle of Chaos also offers different levels of fear for all haunted house lovers alike. These levels of fear range from level one, for the easily scared, to level four, for the extreme hands-on experience.

In order to access level 4, you must sign a waiver.

Castle of Chaos is located at 7980 S State St. in Midvale. Individual tickets start at $23, VIP tickets are $33, and to skip the line is $40.

10th West Scare House

If you are looking for a less scary and more family friendly haunted house, 10th West Scare House is just the place for you.

This haunted attraction offers a “tasteful scaring” without all the gore. It’s a safer alternative to the horrifying haunted houses we are used to.

10th West Scare House is both an indoor and outdoor attraction designed to startle you.

10th West Scare House is located at located at 900 N 1000 W in Logan. Ticket prices start at $7 per person for either inside or outside. For both, tickets are $13 per person.
