SLCC libraries offer much more than books

Salt Lake Community College libraries provide a variety of services in order to help students succeed.

One service they offer students is training and support for the ePortfolio. The staff in the ePortfolio lab accept drop-in visits or appointments to help students get their websites up to par.

The resource desk also offers help utilizing their database in order to find the scholarly resources required for many papers. These services alone make writing a research paper and perfecting your ePortfolio both easier and more manageable.

The library also has free Wi-Fi hotspots for SLCC students who do not have internet access at home. These hotspots allow students to do research, homework, access canvas, or just surf the web from the comfort of their home.

Hotspots are available through the reference desk in the Markosian Library at Taylorsville Redwood Campus. A OneCard is required to check out a hotspot for 28 days at a time, assuming there is availability. Staff at the reference desk say there is a short waitlist for hotspots at this time.

All of these services and more can be accessed online. For more information, call 801-957-4602 or visit your local campus library during business hours.
