Every college student knows that managing finances can be difficult at times.

UTA discount
Students who need to use public transit can get a deep discount on UTA services.

From social activities with friends to being an adult and paying bills, life as a college student isn’t cheap. But being a student has its perks.

Discounts are available for just about everything under the sun. Here are a few businesses that offer discounts to Salt Lake Community College students.

Food

Brittany Shimmin, owner of Vive Juicery, loves students and invites them to come try her flavorful healthy juices produced from local products.

“If you can show your student card, you will receive $1 off any juice,” she says. Those who collect the juice bottles also receive a discount for bringing them back.

Pizza is every college student go-to food. Students who show their OneCard at participating Pie stores can receive 10% off. Participation may vary by location.

Some Chipotle locations around the valley offer a free small drink with any meal when a OneCard is presented.

Health & Wellness

While not all 24 Hour Fitness locations offer a student discount, most are keen on getting students in the gym. Visit your nearest location for pricing.

Mindful Yoga gives discounts by the bundles of classes: $10 for drop-ins, $40 for four classes, $80 for nine classes and $160 for 20 classes.

Students who visit CorePower Yoga can show their OneCard at the Trolley Square and Foothill location to receive class discounts.

Entertainment

SLCC students who want to hit the slopes next season can get $300 off a Snowbird season pass.

Brewvies Cinema Pub in downtown Salt Lake City offers a $2 discount off movie tickets for students who show their OneCard. This beloved theatre is for adults 21 and older.

The Utah Museum of Fine Arts allows students to use their OneCard as a free entry pass to the museum. The gallery portion of the museum will re-open August 26.

Closer to campus, the Grand Theatre offers one free ticket and up to three more tickets at half price to any SLCC student.

Music & Shopping

A BruinMail email address lets SLCC students pay $4.99 monthly for Apple Music or Spotify premium accounts. Active students can also use their BruinMail email to get Amazon Prime free for six months, and 50% off after that.

Campus discounts
Students can use their new OneCard to get discounts on campus services.

Not all locations may offer these discounts and some restrictions may apply. Check the OneCard office to learn more about other potential discounts.
