Campaign celebrates South City personalities

Salt Lake Community College enhanced the overall look and ambiance of South City Campus with artwork that brings a positive message to students and staff.

The SLCC marketing department recently designed and executed the project by placing “Stay Unique” stickers on the floors, windows and walls inside the campus.

“We chose ‘Stay Unique’ because we believed it would resonate with our students. Not only are all SLCC students a blend of perseverance, curiosity and intelligence, but our South City Campus, the hub of the School of Arts, Communication and Media, is the epicenter of our quirky, different students,” marketing manager Quinn Smith says.

The new artwork at South City Campus is adorned in the school colors of blue and gold. Large and bright, each piece of art is different and all pieces are abstract. These newly placed stickers also serve as visual encouragement to embrace student creativity.

“We hoped it would remind our students that we love their different personalities, strengths and ideas,” Smith says. “Their uniqueness is what makes SLCC unlike no other institution, which we appreciate and value.”

Because South City Campus is the home of most School of Arts, Communication and Media programs, students take courses in a variety of subjects, including film, theatre and the visual arts. The collaboration and creativity among these students gives South City Campus a unique feel in comparison to other campuses.
