No. 3 Salt Lake fell to the No. 9 College of Southern Idaho 66-53 in the Region 18 Championship.
This is only the second loss of the season for the Bruins who now sit 30-2 on the season. Their only other loss of the season came at the hands of the Eagles in their first match-up this season.

SLCC was led by Tilar Clark who ended the night at 13 points. Sydnee Taylor recorded 11 points. Andrea Brady was 100 percent in the paint with eight points and four rebounds. Ma’ata Epenisa ended with nine rebounds.
The Bruins came out strong going up by six early in the first. The game was tied at 30 a piece as they went into half time. Southern Idaho came out strong in the second putting up quick points.
The Golden Eagles extended their lead by as many as 13 in the third quarter which became hard for the Bruins to overcome in the final minutes.
Salt Lake struggled from the field shooting 34 percent on the night. The Bruins turned over the ball 15 times which led to 19 points for the Eagles. SLCC bench contributed 21 points to the win.
Salt Lake will await a call from the NJCAA for an at large berth to the National Tournament which will be held March 14-18 in Lubbock, Texas.
All-Tournament Team
Sydnee Taylor and Tilar Clark were named to the All-Tournament Team. Taylor ended the tournament posting 22 points and three assists. Clark ended with 23 points and eight rebounds.
