Career and Student Employment Services offers comprehensive career and employment resources for Salt Lake Community College and School of Applied Technology students.

Services are available to alumni for one year after graduation.

Student employment office locations
Redwood Campus – STC 002, 801-957-4014
South City Campus – 1-061MA, 801-957-3047
Jordan Campus – HTC 164B, 801-957-6242
Meadowbrook Campus – 201A, 801-957-5806

No appointment necessary; walk-ins welcome

Students can visit any of our offices for assistance with over 1,300 available jobs posted with our department.

We host a Fall and Spring Semester Job & Career Fair, with over 200 employers actively recruiting SLCC students at these events.

On-campus student employment program

Our office manages the On-Campus Student Employment Grant; this program offers 30 to 40 part-time on-campus positions for qualified students (time limited, restrictions apply).

Academic credit for work experience through the Cooperative Education/Internship course

The office staff can answer questions on how students can earn academic credit for working, interning or volunteering in a position directly related to their academic major.

Individualized job search assistance and student employment referrals

Students visiting our office will take a few minutes to set up their employment account on MyPage. This process takes less than five minutes. Once complete they can review all job categories or jobs specific to their academic major.

When they have selected a job(s) they are interested in they will meet with a career/employment advisor to review the position(s).

Career exploration for undecided students

Let our office help you explore careers and decide the career pathway for you!

Workshops – successful job search strategies and career assessments

Students can take advantage career development workshops; these workshops have been designed to effectively assist students in developing professional job search tools, and include: professional resume, and cover letter development, job search and interviewing strategies.

We also offer workshops to assist students in creating a positive, job ready social media presence using LinkedIn, Career E-Portfolio and other social media. We can assist undecided students with career assessments that will help them in determining their individual career pathway to success.
