For 13 days over the summer, 10 Salt Lake Community College students joined local choir group Odyssey Chorale, headed by SLCC’s own Lyle Archibald, on a four-stop European tour.

The group performed in Budapest, Hungary; Prague, Czech Republic; as well as Vienna and Eisenstadt in Austria. Archibald says the tour was a great success and that the choir was very well-received. He also hinted at plans for a future tour in Great Britain.

Back here at home however, the choir is back to business as usual, which is to say Archibald had been quite busy with auditions. Archibald would like to invite anyone reading to come try out in the choir room, and added that more men would be especially welcome.

The choir is also preparing for their first concert, at the All Saints Episcopal Church on Foothill Drive, September 26, at 7:30 p.m. Anyone interested is welcome to come and have a great time, as the SLCC choir is off to another great year!
