On Sept. 11, 2014, The Utah Board of Regents voted to appoint Dr. Deneece Huftalin as the new president of Salt Lake Community College.
Huftalin had served as interim president since Jan. 1, after the departure of Cynthia Bioteau at the end of 2013.
“I could not be more proud to lead such a phenomenal institution with such competent, caring, and committed faculty and staff,” says Huftalin in a recent mass email. “We will do wonderful things together and I look forward to working collectively to help students and the institution soar!”
Former President Bioteau offered her congratulations to Huftalin via Twitter after the announcement was made.
