The Salt Lake Community College men’s basketball team hopes to leave Hutchinson, Kan. with the second national title in school history.
SLCC earned an at-large bid to the NJCAA National Championships after losing to Central Arizona College in a District I playoff game. This is the first time SLCC has returned to the national tournament since winning the title in 2009.
The 11th-seeded Bruins play No. 22 seed Eastern Oklahoma State College in a first-round matchup on Tuesday, Mar. 19. The game tips off at 11:00 a.m. MST, and fans can watch the game live in the Student Event Center at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus, on SLCCTV-17 or online. SLCC fans are encouraged to wear blue and gold to support the team.
The Bruins are in line for a rematch, as the winner of Tuesday’s game will play Central Arizona College on Wednesday, Mar. 20.
