SLCC OneCard serves many purposes

The OneCard is much more than an ID card for students at Salt Lake Community College. Students can use it to manage their campus finances and to get discounts.

Students can fill out a consent form to have their financial aid refund transferred to their OneCard. This refund process is faster than direct deposit or mail.

“I get my financial aid refund sent to my OneCard. I don’t have to wait as long and I use all the money for tuition and books anyways so I don’t have to worry about postponing buying everything because I’m waiting for a check in the mail,” says SLCC student Sam Brewer.

OneCard users can access and control their account through an online portal. If users want to check their balance, make an online deposit, or deactivate their card, they may do so from the online portal.

Use the OneCard to get campus discounts

SLCC students have virtual money loaded onto their OneCard each semester that they can use for 50 prints in the computer labs around campus.

The OneCard also contains a Bruin Bucks account where students can transfer money for use at various campus food and retail stores. Many campus stores provide discounts to students who use their OneCard for purchases.

Students should not leave any unused money on their Bruin Bucks account to avoid loss of funds or a service charge.

No car? No problem with the OneCard

SLCC has partnered with Utah Transit Authority to allow OneCard users to get discounted passes for UTA buses, TRAX and FrontRunner.

Students can purchase a UTA student pass online and take a copy of their receipt to a campus ID center to activate the discount.

SLCC students and staff can also use their OneCard to take free rides on the B-Line shuttle bus.

The inter-campus shuttle stops at five different campuses. The B-Line is a convenient option that will take OneCard users where they need to go.

Where to get a OneCard

Currently enrolled students must bring a picture ID to one of the four ID Centers to receive a OneCard. All registered SLCC students get their first OneCard at no cost. Replacement cards are $20.

Staff, faculty, and alumni may also obtain a OneCard by visiting an ID center and paying a small fee.
