  1. Students shared several great insights about the challenges of online courses. Understanding what to expect, staying organized and motivated can make a big difference. Check out the SLCC Getting Started Guide at https://slcc.instructure.com/courses/297606 to review expectations for online learning and discover which course type you will thrive in. If you’re finding it difficult to stay motivated, we encourage you to schedule a coaching session with Online Success Coaching for additional support. 2. I think it depends on the student, and even the major. From my point of view, a hybrid model would be the best option. If you work all day (as is my case) and then have to go to campus three or four times a week, that would take me about 5 to 8 hours in total. I can dedicate that time to developing assignments, college projects, etc. I like online classes, but this semester I started going to campus (South City) and I’ve enjoyed the experience. But again, I think it depends on each student and their particular situation.
