The Salt Lake Valley and the surrounding area has no shortage of frights, and students at Salt Lake Community College have some options when looking for a good scare this weekend.

Nightmare on 13th

Nightmare on 13th, one of the oldest haunted houses in the state of Utah, celebrates its 26th anniversary this year. This year the main theme is “Phantasms.” The hosts invite anyone brave enough to participate in a heart-racing walk through their spooky castle full of mind-boggling terrors.

The haunted house is just two blocks away from a Trax station, a plus for students who use public transportation.

Nightmare on 13th offers a discount for anyone who provides their email or phone number. Group specials are also available; tickets are only $15 for groups of 20 or more.

Castle of Chaos

The Castle of Chaos, located in Midvale, features a revamped Haunted House, the Mystery Theatre and new Escape Rooms. Their new State Street location is also located near a Trax station.

General admission is priced at $25 and VIP Passes cost $33. If you dare for the most scare, buy the Haunted Tour at $42 or the VIP Haunted Tour for $59. Castle of Chaos offers student tickets for $3 off the normal price, though tickets vary depending on what type of scare students are seeking.

Castle of Chaos is also offering a discount to their Escape Room through KSL Deals.

Also: The Haunted Forest and Hollow and Strangling Brothers Haunted Circus offer extensive coupons and discounts on their websites. The Fear Factory also offers a smaller group special, with four tickets for only $60.
