The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Salt Lake City Branch will honor Dr. Deneece Huftalin, President of Salt Lake Community College, at their annual Distinguished Woman Award Luncheon. The celebration will be on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Cottonwood Club, 1870 East Lakewood Drive from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The mission of AAUW is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. The Distinguished Woman Award is given annually to an outstanding woman in the community who exemplifies the mission of AAUW. Salt Lake City Branch is pleased to honor Dr. Huftalin for her vision and her accomplishments.
Friends and colleagues are invited to join AAUW Salt Lake City Branch members at this event. Call Carol Morelli-Farmer, Distinguished Woman chair, no later than Thursday, March 12, at (801) 278-4966 to indicate your intent to attend and to pay at the luncheon. The cost is $25. Entree choices include cherry cola glazed pork chop or vegetarian lasagna as well as salad, fresh vegetables, and dessert. There will also be a cash bar.
