The end of the semester is just around the corner and students need to study for their finals. For all their hard work throughout the semester they should have fun before hitting the books and the notes. That is why the Salt Lake Community College Student Association is having the annual Bruin Bash at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus Friday, April 30 at 5:30 p.m.
“Last year I brought my friends they were having so much fun they just forgot about everything and had some fun for once,” says SLCC student Michael Jeffry.
This year’s bash is features food, live music, and fireworks, among other festivities. All activities are free. Food is priced to move with $3 barbeque plates.
“This is the second year for the Bruin Bash,” says SLCC Student Body President, Liu Vakapuna. “We think this year’s event is going to be very entertaining.”
Other activities will include a rock-climbing wall as well as bounce houses. Circus lovers will appreciate the human statues, stilt walkers, mimes and clowns that will be roaming around the party.
“The Bruin Bash, what can I say, it is just awesome a really fun way to forget everything and just relax,” says Jeffry.
Students can also purchase their very own Bruin Bash t-shirt for just $2 at the Student Center so students can be ready for this major event.
“I already bought my t-shirt so I am good for Friday, I can’t wait it is going to very cool to ride the mechanical bull,” says SLCC student Mario Gonzalez.
