The Hispanic Heritage Celebration Committee would like to extend an invitation to you to attend our upcoming Hispanic Heritage Day, April 2, “A Day of Honor and Contribution” here at Salt Lake Community College. The series of events that day are FREE and all are welcome! Date: Friday, April 2, 2010
Where: Student Event Center – Taylorsville Redwood Campus
Time: 10 AM – Panel Discussion on the Hispanic/Latino Contribution to Utah and the US. Invited guests: Robert “Archie” Archuleta (Community Activist and Historian) and Jesse Soriano (Director of Ethnic Affairs and Community Development)
11 AM – Hispanic/Latino Artists Art Exhibit – Come meet local artists and see their work! Each will explain the meanings behind their work and its contribution to better understanding.
12 PM – Taste of Sabor – Music Rhythms for the Soul: Learn about the various rhythms used in Latin music, areas of origin, and more!

The day will begin with a panel discussion at 10 am followed by a Hispanic Artists Art Exhibit at 11 then a Music Rhythms for the Soul (Taste of Sabor!) at noon until 1:30.
