All students are encouraged to enter into some friendly competition to kick off the 2010 SLCC Student Art Show. The Visual Art & Design Department invites all students to use their imaginative flair and knack for advertisement to create a poster to promote the Art Show, as well as other venues of media. Additionally, the winner will be awarded $100.

Any illustration, graphic, or photo must be original work from the applicant. In the case of a photo or illustration, a signed release form must be presented if the work is chosen as the winner. The four-color process (cmyk) or Pantone Spot Color on white paper is accepted, but RGB is not.

All entries must include name, phone number, and e-mail to be accepted.

Contest entries will be displayed at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus on the third floor of the Administrative Building March 1 through March 11. The SLCC Student Art Show Committee will choose the winning entry.

All entries must be submitted Monday, March 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in room 326 of the Administrative Building on the Taylorsville Redwood Campus.

For information on the required specifications, including format, setup design and other required information, visit http://www.slcc.edu/visualart/events.asp.
