When walking into a Black Student Union meeting, it is very apparent how this organization takes pride in helping each other and their community. They invite everyone to join in having fun, talking about community topics, and contributing to school and community affairs. It is no surprise that when news aired of the tragic earthquake in Haiti, this organization of proud students stepped in and decided to conduct a fundraiser to help the survivors of Haiti. The Black Student Union is asking everyone to donate money to those who have been affected by the earthquake in Haiti. The Haiti fundraiser started on January 25 and will continue till February 26. February is Black History Month. The Black Student Union would like to dedicate Black History Month to helping their brothers and sisters over in Haiti.
