The Airport Center, located near our own Salt Lake International Airport, is not only home to the College’s Aviation Technology Program, but also offers the Aviation Maintenances. “Our center puts students right into the working environment of an airport, since we are located on and within the airport, we train our students to be aware of their surroundings that would apply to them to the jobs they will have after college,” said Kyle Wagner, Division Chair of Aviation.

SLCC also has its own Community Writing Center located at Library Square. The Community Writing Center originally began as an outreach program to help our community, along with SLCC students. The staff at the center does more than just help with homework. They can also provide non-school related help with short stories, professional emails, plays, and resumes. The Community Writing Center can especially help those going into the writing field after college by giving the community and students a step into the professional business end of writing.

Rose Park Center is located west of I-15 and helps to serve those students located in the Northwest side of the valley. The Rose Park Center is not only rich in ethnic diversity, but also offers a wide range of programs, offering students access of having courses which are open-entry, open-exit, competency-based, with non-credit or supportive services.

Meadowbrook Campus, home of the School of Applied Technology, is looking to expand. Many of its buildings are beyond their useful life expectancy and there is a need of more efficient facilities and space. New developments will be built in the southwest and northwest areas of the campus. This means more space to facilitate the needs of future students.

At the Highland Center, where classes for the School of Applied Technology program are offered, students get the chance to compete while demonstrating competency. The instructors at this campus are very hands-on. Employment specialists also assist post-SLCC students entering the job market. Highland also offers the second-largest number of programs, 19 in all. The Open Computer Learning Center, located at the Highland Center, helps students form basic computer, reading, writing, and math skills.

The Jordan District Technical Center, with two campuses, one in Sandy and the other in West Jordan, is unique for its agreement between SLCC and the Jordan School District. Degree-seeking students needing night classes can easily take them here. The West Jordan campus is ideal for both working adults and concurrently enrolled high school students. The Sandy campus offers evening courses in cosmetology.
